RECENT CHANGES IN ADMISSION REQUIREMENT

  • Effective immediately, George Brown College will be accepting the following online English proficiency testing options:
    – Duolingo English Test
    – TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition
    – IELTS Indicator
  • Conditional Letters of Acceptance
    – GBC will issue Conditional Letters of Acceptance for pending IELTS/TOEFL/ other for ALL Nationalities/Countries which are locked down due to Covid-19 and have no access to IELTS/TOEFL/other test. – Conditions must be met/submitted by July 13, 2020 for the Fall 2020 intake and by November 10, 2020 for Jan. 2021. These deadlines may be adjusted as the situation evolves.– The offer expiry date should not be confused with the IELTS/TOEFL/Duolingo/ other test expiry date. To confirm a seat, applicants still need to pay the first semester fee in full before the OFFER EXPIRY DATE. If they do not pay by the OFFER EXPIRY DATE the offer will be automatically expired. Students should not wait to pay and confirm until they have their IELTS/TOEFL/other scores. If they choose to wait until they have the IELTS/TOEFL/other scores they run the risk of losing the seat.– India only – The College will accept aggregate transcripts, and will issue conditional offers on predicted 12th results (unconditional offers cannot be issued until minimum program requirements are met).– Students studying in last semester of degree and want to apply in diploma programs they can apply for the admission.– The college will issue Conditional Letters of Acceptance for post graduate programs to students from India who are in the final semester of their degree/diploma as the Government of India officially announced yesterday that exams for final semester students have been postponed to July 2020. This will allow your students to apply to January 2021 & May 2021 programs.
