Australian Visitor Visa

  • The Australian tourist visa offers multiple entries.
  • The validity of the Australian tourist visa is one year (maximum).
  • You can spend up to 3 months in Australia using a tourist visa.
  • It is possible to enter Australia more than once through a tourist visa. But, in that case, your visa must be a multiple-entry visa.
  •  It is easy to get an Australian tourist visa. But you have to meet the requirements.
  • The 8503 condition is a type of condition in the visa. It prevents visa holders from applying for extensions while staying in Australia.
  • You can study with a tourist visa in Australia, but the course must be less than three months. If your desire is to get a degree, you must apply for a study visa. 
  • A visa stamp is not required for a tourist visa in Australia. The visa is electronically linked to the passport number.

The different types of Australian Visitor Visa:

  • Subclass 600 (Visitor Visa) 

    • This visa lets you visit Australia as a tourist, to see family and friends, or for purposes other than business or medical treatment. 
    • The visa can be granted for up to 10 years. 
    • Stay up to 3 months each time you enter. 
    • Visa processing times are based on the age of applications finalized in a given period.
  • Subclass 601 (Electronic Travel Authority)

    • It is an electronic travel visa that is linked to an applicant’s passport and designed only for tourism and business visitor purposes. 
    • It has a validity of 12 months.
    • As many times as you want, you can visit.
    • You can stay up to 3 months each time you enter the country.
    • You must pay the online application service charge of AUD20.
  • Subclass 651 (eVisitor)

    • The eVisitor visa is a type of non-immigrant visa.
    • The validity of the visa is 12 months.
    • You can stay for a maximum of three months when you enter Australia.
    • There are no visa fees charged.
    • The duration of the visa starts from the day it is given.
  • Subclass 417 (Working Holiday Visa)

The Working Holiday (subclass 417) visa is a temporary visa for young people who want to holiday and work in Australia for up to 12 months. 

  • Subclass 462 (Work and Holiday visa)

    • This visa allows people 18 to 30 years old.
    • The Visas allow the holder to work while enjoying the vacation in Australia.
    • It is similar to the visa subclass 417.
    • The difference is that 462 visas have education requirements, while 417 visas do not.
  • Subclass 771 (Transit visa)

The transit visa allows people to be in Australia for 72 hours.

Documents Required for obtaining the Australian Visitor Visa

The documents play an important role in required procedure. One must take care of submitting the below-mentioned documents in due time with duly filled and signed application forms.

DOCUMENT CHECKLIST (1 XEROX): –

  • Visa Application Fee
  • Original or All 36 pages scanned passport
  • The passport should not expire within 3 months of their visit.
  • Old passport (if any)
  • 1 passport size photograph
  • Birth Certificates
  • Marriage Certificate
  • Aadhaar Card

ACADEMIC DOCUMENTS – IF APPLICANT IS STUDENT: –

  • Bonafide certificate
  • All academic Documents OR Degree certificate
  • Work experience letter / Salary slips- 6 months/salary credit bank statement

ACCEPTABLE FUNDS: –

  • Saving Bank statement requires till date entries of last 6 months
  • Fixed Deposits
  • Public Provident Fund (withdrawal certificate is required)
  • Post Office – Monthly Income Scheme /Saving Account/ RD
  • GPF / PF (only parents) withdrawal amount + yearly statement
  • Insurance Policy / Mutual Fund / Shares and Other Immovable Property Valuation report
  • CA Report

APPLICANTS MUST PROVIDE DOCUMENTS SHOWING INCOME OF ALL SPONSORS: –

In order to establish income from the following sources the listed documents must be provided:

·       Income from Salary:
    1. Income Tax Returns & computation of income along with Form 16 of last 3 years
    2. Salary slips from employer for the last 6 months/salary credit bank statement
·       Agriculture Income:
  1. Mamlatdar’s Income Proof certificate / 8/A & 7/12 / Sales Bills (copy with English Translation)
·       Business Income:
  1. IT Returns with computation of income of last 3 years
  2. P & L Account / Balance Sheet of last 3 years / Company’s Registration / visiting card
  3. Company’s Current account of last one year
  4. Partnership deed in case of partnership
·       Retirement Income:
  1. Letter from company at time of retirement stating amount of pension
  2. Recent bank statement showing credit of pension to account
·       Rental Income:
  1. Ownership of property / Lease deed / Rent Receipts

If you have been invited by any of your friends, family or relatives then the Sponsor documents given below are required.

  • Invitation letter – Sponsorship Letter
  • Bank statement – 3months
  • Pay slip last of 3 months
  • Tax returner of last 2 years

  • If Student – LOA / VISA COPY /Attendance Report /ID Card)
  • If Tour – Itinerary / Tour Booking / Payment Confirmation

  • All documents in Gujarati or other language are needed to be translated & notarized in

Photo Specifications as per Australia Visitor Visa Requirements

  • 35*45/ 80% face reading
  • Must be submitted in color showing true skin tones.
  • Photo must be recent from the past 6 months. Older photos will be rejected.
  • Plain white or light blue background only.
  • Neutral expression. No smiling
  • Eyes must be wide open and visible
  • Make sure your ears are both visible.
  • The photo should not be blurry.
  • If wearing glasses, they must be thin rimmed eyewear for medical purpose only.
  • None Headgear unless for religious purposes.
  • Dimensions and size (pixels) are None specified.
  • Be sure what you are wearing does not match the background. This could cause rejection and retake.
