Tier 4 study visa in UK Universities without IELTS:

English language proficiency is one of the requirements asked by the immigration office for processing your Tier 4 study visa.

There is an alternative if you choose to study in a university that waives IELTS.

Instead of submitting your IELTS scores you need to submit a document from the university stating that you are eligible to apply for a Visa.

Criteria for assessing English proficiency at UK Universities

  • Previous education of the candidate for all subjects was English, 
  • Apart from this, some universities ask candidates to appear for an online interview. So, candidates who haven’t appeared for the IELTS test can ask to give an online interview and the university will check your level of understanding of English.
  • College / University take into consideration your high school scores. Like if you have scored more than 65% in English in 12th then universities can consider this as proof of English proficiency.
